We are from Michigan and attended a While We’re Waiting Ministry retreat here. Not only was is a peaceful, beautiful place. The rooms were amazing, the food was delicious and homemade. The owners and staff were so friendly and welcoming. We loved chatting with them and learning the history of how the lodge came about. Hope to return someday. Thank you for your kindness.

Your establishment is 4 star all the way and I was very impressed with everything and the fluid pace that things move along at. It was very clean, the accommodations were first class and I cannot think of one negative aspect or actually any way to improve the way you operate at this time.

We found this place while on a motorcycle trip to Winterset, Iowa. Once we settled in for the night we decided to cancel going to see John Wayne’s birthplace and enjoy the ride along the Great River Road. One night turned into two. Very nice place and spacious.

Quiet, clean and beautiful place to stay. We stay there when we come back to visit. Much better than staying in a hotel and it is closer to family. We will definitely return.
