The large two story red brick antebellum portion of the facility was built in 1848 and an extensive remodeling and expansion project was completed in October 2001.

Our fully certified kitchen is available to prepare delicious, home-cooked meals and the lodge has quickly become a popular destination for a wide variety of special events. The dining room seats up to 50 guests and¬†offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The Homestead Lodge features a two story stone fireplace built with stones carved from the river bluff by my great, great, grandfather Seaman Sprague for his farmhouse built in the middle 1800’s.

The Homestead Lodge is a great facility for smaller corporate, quilting, and scrap-booking retreats, class reunions, wedding and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, and many other types of meetings and receptions.
